When you decide to become a professional wedding photographer, two very important questions come up. One of them is, how to learn to become a greatwedding photographer? The incline here is on the word great, since anyone who takes pictures, assuming that the photographs are relative clear and properly exposed, can be considered a wedding photographer. There's always a question is whether to freelance or work for a mentor/studio. Apprenticeship may be a overdone expression in most other venues; it is, however, the best way to learn wedding photography. To really see the hardiness and complexities came in contact with, you must go out and see what it's like.. In the beginning, it's best to just watch and to ask questions on breaks-not while the photographer is taking images. Write down concerns and your thoughts and you see fit. Get a photographer who is willing, competent, and capable of educating. Many photographers could say and think that they are masters, which might be their ego. The only way to judge for yourself is to see their work and compare it to that of others. If it stands out in your vision as being superior, then certainly ask to be taken. Teachers leave long impressions. If you might happen to have a good one, you will might have a good basis on which to increase your workflow. A poor mentor can start you off with really bad habits that you may not recognize at first and may find difficult to break, assuming that you even visualize that you are doing something you shouldn't be doing. Books, seminars, afternoon classes, web forums and resources are also great sources of knowledge. Some professional organizations have great learning libraries as well. Some studios want people who are experienced and show some samples of their work. Some however, may train you if they feel that you have potential and show a desire to learn and advance. Not many, but studios may even retrain you even if you have a many years of experience, since some studios have their own unique style. They may show you how to take your skills and apply it, so that your vision can match to theirs more closely. Freelancing is the most hard way to get your foot into the business. Most people have no idea how to work with their business, where to get albums, talk to the clients, put out advertisements, sign contracts . You can definitely learn it all by yourself, but it may take years for you, making costly mistakes along the way. The choice is yours!
